The Ontario Civil Construction Careers Institute (OCCCI) is an industry program which promotes careers in civil construction to Ontario high school students. It is operated by a Board representing the 14 organizations that provide funding and support for it.   Jessica Steffler is the Director of Career Promotion and delivers OCCCI’s programs and initiatives.

 

OCCCI visits high school students in their classrooms and at their career days, as well as maintaining a professional presence at job fairs. It also operates a website which serves as a resource for students research civil construction careers and how to prepare for them. OCCCI also sponsors onsite ‘career days’ to give students a hands-on experience with all aspects of civil construction and engineering. 

 

 ORBA is a founding members and leading contributor to OCCCI, through its Training, Education and Industry Promotion Committee.
