ORBA members may have seen the headlines on Monday evening from a speech given by Premier McGuinty at the Ontario Good Roads/Rural Ontario Municipal Association (OGRA/ROMA) Convention. The statement was unclear, but the headlines announced that “Billions of dollars earmarked for infrastructure projects are no longer available”.

The Commission on the Reform of Ontario’s Public Services (better known as the Drummond Report) was commissioned by the McGuinty Government in 2011 and delivered February 15, 2012. The report contains 362 recommendations spanning over 550 pages which provides a roadmap for the government to balance Ontario’s books by 2017‐2018.
